We currently have a client in Festus, MO looking for a Licensed Vascular Technologist!Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Licensed Vascular Technologist to use ultrasound machines to produce images of patients' veins and arteries using high-frequency sound waves as ordered by the Physician.

Responsibilities:
Prepares equipment and assists physicians during physical exams and medical proceduresProvides patient educationPerforms Diagnostic Ultrasound scans checking for the following :
varicose veins, superficial venous incompetence of the lower extremities, DVT, lower extremity arterial ultrasound with dopplers, carotid imaging, dialysis vascular access vessel mappingAssist in set-up and cleanup of treatment roomsAssist Physician in the treatment of superficial venous incompetence with Endovenous Laser Treatments (EVLT)Maintain equipment and supply inventoryTriages patient phone inquiries according to physician and/or departmental protocols and documents such actions in patients medical recordsMay provide working supervision and delegates tasks to vocational nurses, non-licensed medical staff, or office support personnel in futureVascular Tech, Proficiency in electronic medical record documentationScrub experience and/or working alongside a physician during minimally invasive vascular procedures is a plusMaintain safe, clean, and organized work environment for co-workers, visitors, patients, and physicianAll other duties as assignedJob Type:
